Meet Henry

Henry Hollenbeck graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Agricultural Business in 2007. Since then, he has made significant strides in the livestock industry, particularly in optimizing feedlot systems for sheep, goats, and cattle to maximize feed efficiency and ensure optimal weight gain. As the owner of Hollenbeck Land & Livestock since 2010, Henry has been instrumental in designing and implementing these systems, as well as managing feeding rations to enhance animal health and performance. What sets Henry apart is his keen insight into market dynamics. He possesses an exceptional ability to identify optimal times for buying and selling in target markets, a skill that has substantially contributed to the success and growth of his operations.

In 2012, Henry co-founded Blue Bell Sheep, where he oversees the management of Targhee/Rambouillet ewes. His responsibilities include ensuring proper nutrition, breeding for desired traits, and maintaining the health of the sheep to maximize benefits from their wool and meat production. Henry employs rotational grazing and grass leases across several states to improve land management practices and support sustainable livestock production in the region.

As a partner at Arrow Livestock since 2013, Henry has become proficient in purchasing and shipping sheep and cattle across the United States and Canada. His expertise includes navigating the logistical and regulatory aspects of livestock transportation.

Over the past few years, Henry has ventured into running yearling cattle, a move that has significantly broadened his expertise and enriched his livestock management skills. This new direction has not only expanded his knowledge base but also diversified his approach to ranching.

Mike Hollenbeck (Henry's Father) is a multifaceted professional with deep roots in agriculture and a keen eye for business opportunities. As a seasoned rancher, Mike has honed his skills in livestock management.

With countless years of experience as a cattle buyer, Mike has developed an extensive network within the industry and a reputation for fair dealings and expert livestock evaluation. His deep understanding of market trends has made him a respected figure in the cattle and sheep trade.

Mike Hollenbeck's unique combination of hands-on ranching experience, savvy investment strategies, and entrepreneurial drive positions him as a valuable asset in both the agricultural and business communities. His multifaceted career exemplifies the diverse opportunities available in modern agriculture and related industries.

Recently, Mike has ventured into the ranch real estate consulting arena. He provides comprehensive reports to potential buyers, offering detailed insights into investment opportunities. These reports go beyond basic property information, encompassing potential livestock options, hunting possibilities, and other value-adding features. This innovative approach helps investors visualize the full potential of a property, combining Mike's deep understanding of ranching with his keen business sense.

Meet Sara

Sara Hollenbeck is a dynamic entrepreneur and advocate for sustainable agriculture based in Molt, Montana. Sara has dedicated her career to promoting local food systems and enhancing community engagement in the agricultural sector.

As the founder and board member of Yellowstone Valley Food Hub in 2019, Sara played a pivotal role in establishing and supporting local food networks in her region. Her leadership and commitment earned her recognition as a 40 under Forty Entrepreneur by the Billings Gazette, underscoring her impact on the local business community.

Since July 2015, Sara has been the Owner of High Five Meats, LLC in Billings, Montana. Here, she distributes Hollenbeck beef and lamb directly to wholesale accounts. Sara is also a sought-after speaker at agricultural conventions, where she shares her insights on entrepreneurship, marketing, and sales, reflecting her passion for empowering others in the industry.

Sara Hollenbeck earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in June 2008.
